~~~Part 2/2 of the designs for for their RPG Phoenix Dream. Go check it out!
Anyway, a Harpy... I decided to go with a different route with the Harpy rather than the classic evil/wicked/ugly/beastie...thing...I mean... >.< This lady is much more aerodynamic, and actually looks like an active, healthy aerial predator, rather than a zombie thing. XD (I want her wings!!! And her feather-mohawk. Hey guys, guess what? I myself actually have a faux-hawk.

This is very nice. Yes, I love your concept vs. the typical clumsy, ugly looking harpies! As a bird lover and someone who studies them, I can't stand it when clumsy, ugly creatures fly XD

man, I adore harpies, especially people's different takes on them! I was just surfing the web for harpy pics yesterday! I really love your depiction, though I did think it was a guy at first ^////^; but she's still very lovely!

Well, In the actual Mythos, there is no such thing as a male harpy. of course for your personal fantasy, that could be a good reason why! XD But I personally Like to believe they will kidnap choice male sailors and make half-harpy children (which can have male offspring) and then use the half-harpy males to procreate. But everyone imagines them differently!

My version is something similar. Once a year Harpies can turn into humans for a day. This day they find human males to do some mating. After that they return to their natural appearance. Male harpies being born are extremely rare and are instantly killed. If by any chance one of the males survive it most likely will spend his life among other humanoids than with harpies. Male Harpies are much more human like than the female.
