~~~Flat-coloured Ultimate Reference Sheet done for Archeus68 of FA featuring their snowy owl character, Synchrono!
Phew, this was a whirlwind to work on, but I had a blast! It's always a treat to work on avian characters, and owls are just so fun with their intense, expressive faces and all that fluff.
All of the textual information, (except for the major character details and background story,) were done by myself. I added a few 'sci-fi' hints to the background, since this guy is a time traveller and all that.
I love the age information, 'to be determined,' hah!Thanks a lot, Archeus! Hope you like it!

The first impression i got looking at this drawing was an impression of a mystic creature, something coming from a cold place.
The anatomy looks really good and feather's design is well executed.
I think the idea of showing footprints, evolution of eyes when light is changing and the figure in flight give an highly realistic result even if we know that's a fantasy character.
It looks like a naturalist studie regarding to this developped and complete reference sheet.
About drawings, colours are simple but efficient and details on the head and wings are really precise, like painted with ashes.
For me this character inspire a certain magnificience and grace. There is something weard in it's appearance but it is not frightening.

Hah, this almost thinks of my new book I'm writting about the multitudes of birds that can form into half human and where they rule the air before being offended by something and striking out a war against the humans of the land. I can't wait to finish the outlines on it and start working on it x)
