But, why would she wear a sandbag on her wrist? At first I though it was a sweatband, but then I though that thing that looks like a plastic buckle would get in the way.

Wow, that's some mad skills dear. To do that with just your index finger, you must have a lot of control, my hands are all shakey which makes my lines look real messy. It's really quite admirable to see how you keep learning new stuff every time.

I tried using the finger like a "pen" (putting it under the middle finger and the thumb) but that didn't work well.
So, I decided that maybe I should buy a pen for touch screens.

I use on my Android phone and it's available on iPhone too.
It's pretty nifty, it has lots of functions and tools. Kinda works like Photoshop or Paint Tool Sai. I suggest you to give it a try.
