Aww, so happy to see a quick comic like that from you.
And what do you mean about laziness? It's how most artists work, it's called optimization - don't redo things you've already done if you can afford reusing them without impacting things badly. And it's a very nice format here for still, character-based jokes and light comics - quick-ish to draw and very effective at getting the points across!
Well done as usual, dear pirate. Love the simple yet pretty detailing such as highlights and the shading at the edges and folds of clothes.

Well, your style is different - so it is not laziness, it's expedience, wise expedience at that! Their comic is different, not "more interesting to look at", and certainly not necessarily "more fun" - it's all relative and depending on mood and taste. Though they do have a good taste for jokes, usually, and their comics are indeed quite great.
