I don't have a name for this critter, unfortunately, but if anyone has an idea, feel free to say : D

This is the second of 5 monsters I'm making for Archimages (I don't want to annoyingly tag since they don't really use dA). The first was Mr. Skullpion here

I REALLY like how this came out. This end result was created and finished during a bout of insomnia from inspiration, haha. It came a long way from the original doodly concept sta.sh/01zzf2ymmg0i I kind of wish I added that second pair of arms though, but after changing the anatomy, I don't think it needs them. My words for this creature were Crackling and Gloomy. My original idea was a gargoyle come to life, and to have some stone crackles, but then I chose to interpret crackling more as a deteriorating thing. So I googled a bunch of emaciated dogs (which are hard to look at but I've seen so many episodes of Animal Cops that I was kinda used to it) and used them for reference. The topheavy, skinny back build was inspired by Ifrit from FF and this annoying Mosquito guy in Soul Eater.

I'm excited to see what I make next! This is really letting me step out of my comfort zone and do some things I've really wanted to do. If I were ever to go into the art industry, it would be for character and monster design for games/shows c: Hope you like it!
