Description For a more detailed story on how this car is much more than a simple drawing or concept sketch; read up the description to my last one - "Implacable Blueprints". It's the same case for this one.

I wasn't entirely happy with my last car, the Implacable. Sure, I liked it, and if I may say so without appearing big-headed, I think it's a pretty good looking car.
It's just not what I had in mind. I have an image of what to me would be the ultimate 30's style roadster; yet it's not always easy to put that image in you imagination accurately onto paper. Especially not when you're limited (by your own choice...) to putting it over the shape and proportions of an existing car.

I don't see this as a second attempt, but as a second car design; an alternative bodywork to the Implacable. The Implacable at first was intended to look aggressive, mean, powerful, intimidating. In the end though I think it looked more like a "rich-guy car". Think mercedes 500k or mayback zeppelin.
This second car, the Vanguard, isn't spot on either; yet it's much more like the stance I was aiming for. This one is a much more sporty look, inspired mostly by Delahayes of the era. The resemblance to the Auburn boat-tailed speedster in the top view is purely coincidental; it wasn't an insiration as such.

I'm not sure what'll happen next... Though this one is much nearer, the Vanguard still isn't the car I have pictured in my mind. I'm not sure whether it's a mix of the two I've drawn so far; or if I should try a third one and see how that ends up...

Either way, enjoy

And yes, I totally ripped off Bentley's badge. Hey, a D looks just as good as a B in there...
