Description
Unlike my previous made-up cars, this one has a major difference. Those numbers at the bottom - they're not completely random. They're the would-be real specs; This is realistically a real, potential car - basically, it's based off of a modern Morgan 4/4 roadster; the mechanicals, chassis etc are the exact same and all the car has undergone is a major body change; the new body being fully compatible with the rest of the car (meaning it would fit perfectly with no bits touching where they shouldn't etc).
Main influences: Morgan 4/4 (well come on, despite everything it *had* to keep the same basic shape and proportions to work) ; Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic (the flat-tailed one, of which there's a drawing in this folder I did earlier this year); Mercedes 500K (mainly inspired the side view). Rolls-Royce influence stretches only as far as the radiator grille.
The name was chosen just cuz it sounded cool and sort of went with the car.

That's a cool looking piece, blueprint effect is just great.

Thanks very much
I was experimenting with designs, for three cars at this point; one more later on; trying to pinpoint on paper a solid picture of a car I had in my mind... neither of them actually ended up quite how I'd wanted, but I did quite like how this Implacable, and the Vanguard designs came out.
The blueprint effect was made by using a stock image of a grid as the background, scanning the original drawing at the black pen outline stage, before colouring, then superimposing it and inverting the colours so the lines were white; then I changed the background colour to blue and added the text.

Total Coolness!
This car is destined to show up at Pebble Beach!
It's a good piece of work!

Wow, this is a great work, man! I like your effort, and your style in car design.

Thanks very much
It's quite a different style to the cars I made up a couple of years ago; and I'm considering a couple more alternative bodies for this car in the same style.

Excellent! I like very much to know new ideas and styles.
BTW, soon I will scan my own designs, made a more than a decade ago.
Stay tuned XD

errrr, wheels and tyres way too small...
according to your specs, the diameter of the wheels are about 645 mm, but your blueprint implies 800 diameter

Or, the specs are too small.
This is possible as I got the info from a Morgan press release, yet the morgan blueprints I traced for the main shap of this came from elsewhere - and could have been fitted with other tires.
Regardless of numerical values, this car was designed over the outline of the Morgan - so the wheels are the same size. Whatever size that is.
It could also come from an error in measurement - as the real sizes were worked out by taking the average scale of height, width and length - and even 1/2 mm on paper can be quite a bit full-size. Plus, I didn't measure the wheels specifically seeing as they stayed the same size as before.

I'm only bringing it up coz if fitted with 15" rims and 165/80, it would look rather sad...
even if you wanna make it look old school with wire wheels and the hub screw, 16" rim with 225/50 would look so much cooler

They sure would...
Though you've confused me now haha... I'm not sure if that'd fit under the wings seeing as they were built over the original Morgan design...

Anyway people are supposed to comment on the car's design, not on mathematical problems.
Besides, I'm not the only one who goofed up. The diameter is actually supposed to be 645 according to the maths, but the blueprint shows them at 702, not 800. That's quite a lot nearer. The difference on the paper is 3mm (1.5 either side) so that's probably due to a measurement mistake and the difficulty of drawing good circles without a compass. It doesn't affect the end result as if it works like this, it'll work with marginally smaller wheels too.

The proper colour drawing (minus the grid and blue background) coming very soon.
