Well, it all started when avwolf on the Twokinds forums said: "You have to get Laura to do something out of character, otherwise a simple incentive picture doesn't have enough dynamicism." I took that as a challenge, and came out with this!Heh. I had a lot of fun drawing this. I often use misc pictures as an opportunity to draw my characters out of... character. But I think this is probably the most I've ever deviated from normal behavior. Heheh, or perhaps it's completely accurate and in character...
It was rather awkward, however, looking up references for a leather bondage outfit. O_o;

There's the best answer and the right answer. If you're Laura there is only one answer.
Ignoring the more recent artwork to probably be more funnies (but forever canon in my mind, dangit), I imagine Keith was in the village for long enough to observe the males being gentle but firm with the females, and the same for females with interests sometimes, I'm sure. He was probably told or caught on to how there were different cultures for different peoples, and could figure it out and float on his own, so to speak. Foxes I'm pretty sure would be pretty showy, so I can't get the image of Keith making the "know you want it" face and leaning with his arm up over a blushing, snarky looking Laura also leaning against a wall. While both of them are just a sweatdrop emote face in their thoughts, and then they laugh about it later, but in the moment Laura lets Keith take her hand and kiss it...
It didn't feel like it in the beginning, did it, his heart was broken, but Keith is capable of being a very empathetic and observant guy. Diligent (when not in low spirits). He's pretty gentlemanly too, when you look around the prickly edges of the basitin culture. Knows where help is needed, and where to dispense advice in private "man to man."
Sad to see how well Keith's dad did, and how tragic the event was. Hope he can be happy someday. He's turned out pretty great so far, if I can say. Done well for himself.
(Have not seen cause to make me think of this comment as necessary, so don't worry or think too much of it, but I guess humor me good man, or be annoyed and feel condescended, it's a free country but I promise that's not my intention. Don't let these trolly base level reactions below get to you, twokinds is tasteful and relevant and holds as something beyond a "furry comic," you can /talk/ about it. The newspapers won't print "Woo Tom, way to do everything for your readers!" but I sure will! Probably just a "didn't pay attention" situation anyways, and actually you're probably used to dull, predictable comment's sections, haha.)
