Personality:
Star Ruby is a very hard working, loyal, and fun loving gem who doesn’t run from the face of danger while protecting those she cares about. After being frozen in a block of ice for almost 4,000 years, she used to be rather skittish and distrustful, but has since recovered (mostly) and is pretty much back to her original, happy self. Though there are times where she will get a little shy around new people, and usually doesn’t know how to talk to them too, resulting in her being a bit socially awkward at times, but once you break the ice, she’ll be her usual, caring self.
Rue loves children, and is often seen as a bit of a big sister/motherly figure to the little ones, thus giving her the air of an adoring mother/preschool teacher. She’s an exceptionally hard worker, and always gets the job done when it comes to heavy duty work in the mines or when helping the humans in the nearby town. And though she might be a hard worker, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t like to have fun in between, or even make a game outta the tedious work with the human kids or coworkers from time to time.
Star Ruby also has a considerable amount of patience, which she had gained through years of practice and experience, and is usually quite calm, and tries to keep it that way, especially during stressful situations, but if you deliberately rub her the wrong way even after getting a fair warning, you’re gonna have your head smacked right off your shoulders if you keep it up. If there’s one thing Rue has absolutely no patience for, it’s people who try to get on her bad side.
Though she will be wary of new people on occasion, she is not very trusting towards other gems, whether they be the Crystal Gems or other rogue gems, she holds a particular contemptment and bitterness towards Homeworld-aligned gems, and or Homeworld itself, feeling that she had been betrayed by her own kind, and fears what would happen if she were to be found by them...

>Was frozen in an ice crystal for several millennia by Kyanite and buried underground, until she was found and freed by the Geode people, who then took her in not long after, and has stayed with them ever since.

>Not long after being freed, she had a hard time controlling her abilities, and would often create her flame geodes on accident, however after much training, she has learned to control this, and hasn’t had an “episode” in decades.
