Description
Previously, Sumara was whoopin' on Ender's ass. But she detected something in him she had rarely encountered: compassion. Sparing his life, she took him back to her place of solitude where she tended to his wounds. Later in the evening, when he awoke from his unconscious state, Ender was greeted by Prince Poseidon and Sumara who explained why she attacked him and why she was forced to live in isolation for decades. The following morning, Ender and Sumara are taken back to Atlantis to protect them from the Morrigan who now knows Sumara has survived a centuries old purge.Daz Studio-Iray/Photoshop

This images makes me think of a baroque style oil painting. Such lush colours and rich shadows.You have props and objects in just the right paces and the cloth and folds looks so real. Wonderful work, Glen.

I knew the prince would be angry with Ender. He is staring at him in a very unfriendly way. hehe Great job with the characters poses and expressions! I loved everything as always !!

Thank you so much, Juliana. Yes, at the very last moment Sumara spared Ender's life. I wanted to do a scene of that, but I didn't really feel a need for it. Basically, Ender ended up a weeping mess thinking his life was about to end, but Sumara had suddenly felt a gentler, compassionate side of him. She realized he wasn't there like so many daring men (aka drunkards) she had encountered in the past. Nor was he a young sorcerer looking to prove himself. He was innocent and curious, a bit foolhardy, but harmless. He passed out and so she literally carried him back to her home on the island. Yes, she undressed him and washed him up, tended to his wounds, placed him in her bed, and made him all comfy. He's quite embarrassed when he awakes and realizes she saw his nakedness. 
And Prince Poseidon is not happy at all. Ender disobeyed a royal order to stay clear of the island, and he didn't listen. He simply left without informing anyone and broke his promise and trust with the prince. Plus, at this time the Morrigan and her creatures have been seen in and around Atlantis. It's known she has kidnapped powerful witches and wizards in the past, and with Ender being the adopted son of Black Abbey, his life is at risk, especially so when the Morrigan finds out the Ender is in Atlantis. Sumara had been protected by the current royal family for decades. And Ender sort of just exposed her true identity with his prying. Now people know she's not some old oracle of the Undines. She's the last of her vampiric people and the Morrigan delights in her capture too.

Wow, good memory, Juliana. I actually meant to do that 'heartbreak' scene and completely forgot about it. Guess I still could, just throws me off track a little. Yes, Poseidon's sister, Thalia, had a big crush on Ender and he let her down. He just wasn't interested. It really broke her heart. Poor girl, I just don't know yet what I want to do with her. She's on the culling list, but not sure about that just yet.

Hehe thanks. Ender hasn't even begun to know what hurt is. It's a very terrible thing when the Morrigan gets a hold of him. He won't be the same person after he's rescued from her.
