Description
Its not supposed to be Earth. Its a similar Earth like planet. With similar moons as well. Not creative, I know.Been a while since I uploded anything. I've been working on something for about a month and its not quite finished. Thought I'd upload something simple for you guys. About 6 hours work.

I noticed this image because I liked the continent shape. But I thought it seemed somehow familiar (those inner bodies of water), and realized that's 'cause you used part to east Africa in this image. I like it, this really is a nice looking piece.

I like it, it's colorful and I like the way you did the moons. And actually, I think those giant continents surrounded by all that water is pretty creative. Nice work.

Well thank you.
I made the map usuing textures from South America, Arfica, and Asia. The huge lakes were taken from the Eurpe, middle east area.

None of them. I made my own custom map for this planet. The textures were taking from a map of Earth. Mostly the, South America, Africa, and Asia regions. I then blended them together for my own planet.

Really like it.
What's the smaller moon doing there though? Is it part of the logo or is it just some fictional planet? Another thing that bothers me is the fact the the light seems to be coming from North-East or something. That would mean that the bottom of the planet is completely dark. Anyway, I know I'm being a prick now, but you requested "Critique"! No hard feelings.

Thanks.
Yeah, its one of the moons of the planet. Its not supposed to be earth, despite the similar apperance. As for the lighting on the planet. Your right, it should be dark. I've found that having a completely dark side of a planet thats against a background thats not black causes too much of a contrast and can be a distracting part of the picture. So my excuse is simply ambient light from the surrounding star is lighting the dark side. Though I will darken it a touch more to make a little more realistic. Thank you very much for your critique. I always enjoy them.
