Well, the treads are inherently flawed (I didn't space out the rear cogs enough) so it wouldn't even more anyway
That said, if you've got nod rocket troops behind you, or worse yet, stealth tanks, chances are you're already pretty screwed. xD

but what happens if a Nod rocket hits the rear?

Are the wheels in back supposed to be higher than the front ones? It looks a little awkward.

It was a rough model. If you look closely at the back cogs and think about it, you'll notice they'd jam each other. I realized that after.

This is a good render, but the Mammoth has four treads, assuming this is Command & Conquer's Mammoth tank

It's a bit of a spinoff. I have another version with the appropriate amount, and the "Tusk" Missiles.
Thanks for the comment

thanks.
Next up, I'm either going to redo this, or do either a conscript or a tesla tank

Gotta respect someone who loves mammoth tanks.
Fantastic work.

Yeah, I know. I'm redesigning it, slowly. I've been pretty busy. The next version will be a sock-knocker.

Now that there is a mighty fine Mammoth if EVER I did see one, well done.
Allthough I am a little bit concerned about them rear treads and wheels though, judging form what I can see, those 2 colliding gears will counter eachother's direction, having some rather... disappointing effects on the treads.

looking good, but the back two gear wheels, are they conjoined, like clockwork? if so, the tank wont move as one wheel will try to spin in one direction and the second in the other.

ps. I just thought, to clean up those splotches in the soft shadows on the ground, use final gather, set it to like 250-500, works miracles, worth the added render time.

very nicely done, how many tri's am I looking at here? doesn't look too over the top like most of the beauty shots i see on here, great results that are efficient are the best ones. i dig it.
I'd love to see this thing rigged with wire parameters and HD IK.

edit: might end up ditching the tracks.
I've got a rather wicked idea.

thanks
I'm hoping this weekend I'll have a chance to totally finish the mesh- there's still some revisions I need to make, namely, the hershey-bar armor needs to go.
