Description
So I had hoped to have this done by now but due to college stuff, design issues, and more I am still working on the prototype. I want to have a working prototype version completed before I start printing the real thing. The problem is that I keep running into problems like ratchet joint strength which I'm thinking of using the ratchet joints from the RoTF Devastator which I'm currently working on making secure housings for. In addition it seems like every change I make messes up my plan for how that part will transform into the trailer mode. Also I need the ratchet joint housings to not be too tight as I don't want to crack the mounts or grind the gears which is proving somewhat difficult. With College classes starting next week I'm not going to have as much free time to work on this which bugs me because I've been working on this project for about 5 months now and I'm hoping that I'll have a functional prototype done by the end of February and then have the final either done or close to it by the end of March. However once he is complete I still wont be done as I want to make a display base for him which I'm thinking about having a bunch of destroyed cars and buildings decorating the base. In addition because of how tall and heavy he'll be I'm probably going to need to make a support gantry to hold him up but I don't want to just have a pole that goes up and sticks into his back, I want something discreet so maybe I'll make it look like part of a destroyed building or something. Just a note the cars and hands you can see are models I found online and I used them to get an idea of how it may look when complete.
