Been a while since I talked about DA's favorite lolcow, LexingtonDeville. And boy do I have a juicy one for ya this time. I've been watching a lot of old Marvel cartoons and the 90's X-Men animated series is one of them. The show is, of course, great...but man, does it make me laugh at people who say media now is "too political." I even talked to fellow user, RazorRex about it. So because Lexi has nothing better to do with his life after saying he was "over us," I guess he went to Razor's account and saw this. And boy was the response he made hilarious.

"I don’t know if these comments were intentional or a self-projection of their own delusions. So RazorRex and tylerleached14 believe that X-Men: The Animated Series would be roundly criticised if it was released today. And, here’s the kicker, that the show would be slammed for having diverse mutants and a female president.

First off, back in the 90’s, it was successful and iconic because there was no social media to allow everyone a chance to bash their keyboards and complain, and the series dealt with social issues such as discrimination, prejudice, divorce, AIDS, the Holocaust and feelings of loneliness. So there’s no denying the themes it explored, but at this point, Rexy seems to be on another one of his self-important and pretentious lectures about a certain piece of legacy media always being "woke." Which doesn’t surprise me since he embarrassingly identifies himself as a "CiS mAn WhO wAnTs MoRe DiVeRsItY iN My MeDiA." And contributes absolute zero to society."

It actually would. Because the 90's series delves HEAVILY into the racial and social issues the X-Men face. I am especially talking about the second season, which features the anti-mutant group, "The Friends of Humanity" that are very blatantly supposed to resemble white supremacist and neo nazi groups. The show ain't subtle at all with the allegories they present with this group and the rest of the series still has a good amount of scenes showing mutants facing persecution, including a scene of a mutant child being given a police escort into a non-mutant school that is VERY blatantly meant to resemble similar police escorts given to black children attending white schools during the Jim Crow era.

What's even funnier is that Lexi isn't even correct, the show doesn't really cover topics like divorce or AIDS. I also love how he gives zero reasons as to WHY it wouldn't be bashed by anti-SJW chuds for coverings those topics and not exactly being subtle about them. Lexi can pretend chuds wouldn't bash the 90's X-Men animated series if it came out today...but face reality here, it 100% would. And in case any of you want to say "it wouldn't because of the writing," good writing has not stopped anti-SJW chuds before.
