A common weapon made in the radioactive wastelands of the Mid-West. The swing-bolt is a simple and durable design. On the left side of the bolt, opposite the bolt handle, is the feed system covered up by a hollow bolt. When the bolt is moved up, sideways, (so that when the loading is complete the handle should be above the trigger and aligned with the sights), a port is cut on the top of the bolt (when ready to fire, and lined up with the feed system to allow rounds to be feed to the system). Unlike conventional bolt-action rifles which require the user to push the handle up, pull back then push forwards, then down, the swing-bolt uses one fluid motion to reload. This design allows the rifle to be quickly reloaded. It uses whatever round it was configured for, most can use both a rimless 7.62x54mm round or the 7.62x51mm NATO round commonly found throughout the wastelands.
