Requiem wasn't the greatest, but the scenes with the predator were pretty enjoyable. Started this ages ago, felt I ought to go back and finish it. Background was sort of rushed - i really just wanted this picture to be done, lol. Hope it works.Related content

I thought Requiem was an absolutely awesome addition to the franchise. The only real complaint I have is the lighting in the film - what on Earth where they thinking when they made it so dark that you could not even see and fully enjoy what was going on in each otherwise awesome scene??? :-/ But this is damn awesome!

I would've loved this design for the predalien in that terrible film. At least something with the aliens would've been done beautifully

my solution to a better avp movie. just have no people in it. just aliens and predators fighting. no waiting for the monsters. no shitty acting (AVPR was great evidence at how much people can suck at acting). other then that they did a great job with the violence that shouldve been in the first one. the monsters were pretty badass too ill admit. when you first see a big alien i was laughing all evil like going "GET EM GET EM!" meanwhile its a full theater the day it came out and my mom is right next to me shushing me lol

I feel I must disagree. Without human characters, the aliens and predators are nothing more than neat looking designs. I think almost all of the major problems with the last several films are story and script based. The first two aliens movies, especially, have intriguing stories and great characters which the audiences form attachments to, thus making the threat posed by either alien species actually something worthy of fear.
While the "only aliens and preds" approach works in video games and comic books, there is simply no way to carry a feature film on the backs of costumes and special effects. The human aspect is the very reason the creatures hold the power they do.

I enjoyed AvP2, more so than AvP, but that might be more because I'm a huge fanboi. Either way, I was on the edge of my seat in the beginning with the little kid...just kept thinking "Omg are they gonna do it, they're not gonna do it....OMG THEY DID IT SWEET!!!"
Overall, it was a good movie, I'm just pissed that this is the direction they're going now, despite Sigorney Weaver telling them she'd love to play Ripley again...

Not the biggest fan of Requiem, but I liked it more than AvP 1... Damn Strause Brothers, crushed my dreams once again.

Most of my problems are story related - so I can't really direct too much of my anger at the Straus Bros. I think they did a decent job, especially considering the directions the studio wanted to push parts of the movie *shudder*
I'm getting pretty sick of ADI's take on the aliens though, i hope they either smarten up or get another effects company.

I am an active member on AvPGalaxy.net where Colin Strause regularly posted, and said many things that never did happen. Such as the opening to the movie, no teenage drama... Blah Blah... I guess I should wait for the directors cut to judge.
