AMELIA
------

Amelia is one of the stock civilian characters in the Outbreak series. She exists in both normal human (slot N127) and zombie forms in both the low-end NPC and low-end enemies model tables, respectively -- although only her zombie version exists in a high-end cutscene version. The best place to encounter her zombie is at Raccoon University ("Decisions, Decisions"), and this has led some to theorize that she may have been either an office worker or one of the non-teaching members of the university staff.

Amelia's human form also appears in both retail Outbreak games. Chronologically she first appears in "Hellfire," where she can be seen sitting on the ground outside the burning Apple Inn at the end of that scenario. Why she was there might tie into fannish speculation about Laura, who dies there (see separate entry on Laura). Amelia is next encountered chronologically in Outbreak File 2's "Underbelly" scenario -- which reveals how she herself died (and later became a zombie). Players will encounter Amelia being dragged into one of the vents inside the women's restroom in the South Raccoon Street subway station. She had apparently tried to take shelter in there right before the player character(s) arrive. They will also hear her dying screams and the sounds of her being dragged away through those vents to some unknown location -- presumably by one of the Mega Bite giant fleas featured in that scenario. Amelia apparently revived as a zombie some time after this incident took place.

Amelia can be earned as a playable character.

Both Ameila and Laura are almost identical characters with regards to how their models are built. Their textures are even laid out the same way, and with everything placed in the same location. They even have the same face texture, believe it or not. Amelia is the more pleasantly plump of the two, however, her power suit is brown instead of grey, her face is more chubby-cheeked, she wears glasses, and she has longer hair.

Amelia also re-appears in high-end form, and with an all-new and even higher quality set of textures, as a stock zombie in Umbrella Chronicles. She's also lost a lot of weight, too -- because in that game Amelia is as thin as was her counterpart Laura in the Outbreak series. Finally, one of the stock female zombies in Umbrella Corps not only physically resembles Amelia, but is wearing a brown pantsuit which evokes Amelia's Outbreak skirted power suit.
