Two things you need to know. First off, Ironhide did not get to carry around this fancy Voltronimus Maximus just because he's some royal prince or top ranking official or any of that hoity toity slag, he gets to carry around this shield and be "leader" because he's the kind of bot who will get the damn job done no matter what it takes. Second, because of all the bad things he has bared witness to, all that he has experienced first hand, he REALLY hates Decepticons.

A bot as tough as her counterpart Ironhide, many would describe her as the Minnie to his Mickey purely because of how so much alike they are not just in personality but in sheer relentless hard edge battle tactics. But those who know her best can tell that she is perhaps an even bigger hard ass than Ironhide.

No one would dare call this guy "soft". When it's time to scrap Decepticon Shell this guy is as hard edged as they come....but when all is said and done this hulk of a bot is actually the nicest guy in this team. How nice? Try having the uncanny ability to communicate and befriend any form of creature from humans to even woodland creatures nice? It's not even a unique ability tied to his Cyber Nano Algorithms or anything, he's just so nice he's able to get in touch with non Cybertronian life much to the jealousy of Autobot scientists.

Even if their skills pail in comparison to the legendary Lightning Strike Coalition, the sortie of successful titan kills that the famed autobot Twins share is nothing to scoff at. These two were the ones that brought down Six Shot for Primus' sake, in fact it was after they defeated Six Shot that this yellow speed demon started to really get an inflated ego. You'd think that his recent conversion to Combiner Team status would have stuck him with a serious slice of humple pie but it just made him worse of a narcissistic brat. He's lucky he has enough skill and talent to back up his boasting.....unless he is by himself that is. Really because of how literally he and Sideswipe are part of the same coin, either one is next to useless without the other right beside them.

If it's federal law that even this team needs the goofy kid friendly party dude who would eat his pepperoni pizza with anchovies and gum drops, Sideswipe is definitely the bot to fill the role. Young, brash, kind of lazy, would rather perfect his whoopie cushion technique than his actual battle technique, how the hell this slacker toppled Six Shot of all bots is anyone's guess. But when the chips are down he'll stop screwing about and get serious, especially when Sunstreaker is there to give the dolt a good slap across the back of his brain case to get him to stop day dreaming for at least a damn micro cycle.

ENERGON ABILITY; Advanced Weather Control directly tied into his Electrical Pulse Energy Generation, especially the ability to cause Severe Supercell Type Thunderstorms which provide incredible power boosts to his battle capabilities.

Eons ago there were mighty robotic gods, children of the Thirteen that predate even the Lineage of the Primes, the original Defenders of the Universe. And among them was the mighty five lion combiner Voltron. After many years searching the Autobots finally uncovered the remains of this literal god, the very spirit of Voltron still connected to these remains from beyond the Allspark he gave them a most divine gift, a weapon that allows them to match the returning dark titan Abominus and a possible countermeasure against Unicron should the Maxtrix of Leadership be either lost or destroyed.
This gift was the very sword the god himself used in battle, the Blazing Sword. The weapon is so powerful that no single Autobot alone can use it, thus the Autobots had to use Combiner Tech to unite five chosen warriors together through the sword's newly built sheath the Voltronimus Maximus shield. with this shield, these five chosen heroes have the very means to use the Blazing Sword by combining together into a battle hardened titan carved in the very image of the ancient god.
