I guess I was expecting more out of "Angry Celestia", I mean shit she comes in shouting "TWILIGHT SPARKLE!" and tells the little unicorn "meet me in the library". Then we just cut to Celestia not actually scolding Twilight. Maybe part of me was expecting something like that one scene in the Lion King, I guess I was more or less trying to do that scene but with ponies (and the plot of Lesson Zero). Results may vary but I for one like it.And yes, I was a little influenced by a little Megasweet and Johnjoseco when drawing Celestia, they do draw here the best y'know :3.

Oh so it's Kars face. I wondered what it was meant to be...
This would have worked well, overall, just genuinely getting Twilight to own up about her obsessiveness often causing problems and learning from that mistake.
In general these things are quite rushed in the episodes but that's what the fans are here for!

Huh...Trollestia actually doing something right for once that's new. And you do bring up a good point. The Idea of Twilight fabricating a lesson in order to meet a dead line does defeat the purpose of the lesson in the first place. Of course Twilight went a little crazy in the head so it makes sense that she thinks it was a good idea. This and "Its about time" ... in fact does anyone else notice that most of Twilight episodes are about her OCD that leads her to always learn the lesson of 'don't sweat the small stuff?' which makes the Royal Wedding special ironic because the one time she does turns out she right when she dials it up to elven on the idea that her brother is marrying someone evil.
