Description
"Thank you for being here first."
The new Miss Pauling model is absolutely fantastic. The modeler did a fantastic job replicating the original Expiration Date look - and not only that, but he's added full-on customization for if we like our Miss Paulings to look more like the comic's version. It's a fantastic model, and while it doesn't have a shirt and pants option like the original and facial flexes aren't playing entirely nice with me just yet, I will be using this model for Miss Pauling.
But I have not forgotten where all my Miss Pauling inspiration and love has come from - Rebbacus' model. This was the first fanmade model for Miss Pauling, and as the years pass by, yes, it became outdated and its flaws stood out more than the fact it was the most available resource for Miss Pauling. As a matter of fact, Rebbacus made two Miss Pauling models, one which was never released. But it was there for us to use, and god damn it, I totally put that babe to her full potential as much as I could. I made two reskin packs for Rebbacus' model: one for a look closer to the comic and another that was a hybrid of the ED outfit and the comic.
But now, I don't have to keep reskinning and finding hexed items to make our official Miss Pauling happen - this is as close as we're going to get, and I thank crazyb for it. But I will not forget about the model we all started off with, a model I've learned to appreciate and work with despite all its flaws. I've thoroughly enjoyed using and playing with Rebbacus’ Miss Pauling model. While I know others might disagree for their own reasons which are probably valid opinions, I hope there's people who can agree with me on my positive views. I still enjoy using it; there are still many times where I’m going to use Rebbacus', whether it’s in tandem with crazyb’s or on her own. I'm glad it was around whenever I needed a Miss Pauling to turn to.

I can definitely agree with your point. People barely had any options during the time that older Pauling model was made. Not to mention that SFM was just a leak, and HWM wasn't as well explored like it is now.
Also, seeing these two models standing next to each other, truly shows how far the Source modelling "community" ( not sure if I can use this phrase here ) got.

Community is absolutely the right term. Way back in the day, we only had a select few models being made. Now, we have all sorts of options with the regular classes, with TF2 NPCs, and even with TF2-styled citizens. The possibilities are endless and it's good to have watched how far the community has grown.
