yeah, just wanted to try out line work (really crappy line work, too!) with some realistic-sorta- style shading... and i wanted to try my hand at a sunset background...i like it, it's not the best thing ever, but it turned out better than i thought it would...

This looks really good - it's an excellent combination of cartoon-y lines and life-like shading (especially on this skin, expertly done!). It looks really Tank Girl-ish, I think it's the background that does that.

i was really happy with the way the shading on the skin turned out... and the background... i'm so happy with the fluffy clouds!

You should definitely do some more of this type of stuff, it's excellent...there's so much potential for groovy Tank Girl style portraits etc.

I know what you mean. I always say thank you when people say nice things (or not-nice but helpful things!) cause I really appreciate the fact that someone out there is actually looking at stuff I do and thinking about it enough to comment. I've been on other art sites where you post stuff and it totally gets ignored. It's always good to get feedback, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy
And schmoopy is the best word I've heard in a looooong time.
