Thanks! One of the things I always hated growing up were "how to draw" books that have one drawing of an oval with a couple of lines and then bam! a full drawn face. That doesn't teach you anything.

You didnt tell us how to calculate the arm's length

How to calculate Arm Length: Picture the character standing straight, facing you with their arms ar their sides. The forearm, including the shoulder, should reach down to just above the waist. lower arm to wrist lines up roughly with the top of the thighs, and hands end at just above mid-thigh. If you are drawing the arms away from the body and you want to check your proportions, just draw a curve semi-circle from the joint to where it should line up with on the body, this only works, however, if the arm is straight out away from the body. If the arm is in perspective or has been foreshortened, you might just have to eyeball it or find a reference.
