Oh god! He's so cute! His eyes remind me of the illustrations in the Serendipity books. Man, that takes me back...
Hm...For some reason, I can't come up with much on him even though I had tons to say on the othe two. *Is fwapped by Awk with a fan*
I'd say no collar. It'll be easier to draw repeatedly, and it looks more free and zen somehow. It'll also imply that Tikki trusts him enough not to ditch, wander off, or get picked up by the animal control department.

XD I love my little Awk, he ish teh cuuuuuute! Actually, I considered his eyes reminiscent of older Disney...in particular, Ariel from Little Mermaid. It's my mother's favorite Disney movie. XD We saw it 12 times in theatres when I was a kid. *writes down: No...collar...trust...* Got it! ^__^

Well, there is some resemblence to Disney, but the resemblence to the Serendipity illustrations is stronger. The eyes in those illustrations even tend to run slightly cross-eyed, too. 
Little Mermaid is my mom's second favorite, number one being Beauty and the Beast.
