Yes, the second of these...unfortunately, around the time that I inked this, I'd changed the design on her shirt, and the eye close-up that I drew is now wrong because she's blind in that one.
And I nixed the black-lip thing, too...but that clip design still holds. In fact, it's rather important to her now. To see the details of it (and my chicken scratch), full-view.

You should definitely keep the lipstick look in; it adds a bit of maturity to her appearance that, given her overall attitide here, she kinda needs.
I also think that, given the spider theme, her hair should be black and her streak given a dark screentone. Again, it adds a little maturity and a lot more mystery to her, compounding the mystery inherent in having one eye covered.
You seem more confident when drawing her than when drawing Tikki somehow. I'm not sure what tipped me off, but that's the impression I got.
Once you get the design solidified, you should consider doing a particular type of planning sketch that I know animators use called a model sheet. They sketch out the character in a fullview in several angles, with notes on proportions between head and body, head length and width, and other notes-to-self for them to use as they come across the various pose and angle requirements in the film. I don't know of comic artists that use model sheets, but if it works for animation, by my reasoning, it ought to work with comics and manga too.
By the way, I love her name. Were you by any chance referring to the Egyptian sun god?

I was planning to use something similar to a model sheet, yes. I'm still wavering on the lipstick, but I like the idea for her hair. ^_^ The reason I don't like her lips being black is because she isn't supposed to be mature, and the only real mystery about her should be why she's got her hair covering half her face. (Turns out she's blind in that eye and doesn't like others finding out about it.)
And yes, Ra is based on the sun god. ^_^ lol Her full name is Ramelda, which I wanted to be kinda pointing toward Zelda, as well.

Hm...maybe you could opt for a dark grey on her lips instead of outright black; you know, a compromise.

Well...I kinda thought that she seemed to be the "clean" sort of person (ie, no makeup). But toning hasn't yet begun (XD I started inking the first page...bad UK!!) so we'll see. I was referring actually to a cat named Zelda, but as the cat was named after the Legend of Zelda, I guess it's traceable. XD

Well, just because a comic/manga character has toned or colored lips doesn't mean that they're wearing makeup. 
A whole string of Zeldas, huh? Interesting. Oh, and I screwed up. It's Zelda Fitzgerald I was thinking of, not Zelda Scott.

I like her! What's scary is that she has the same hairdo as me. X_X (I got my hair cut so it's short. XP) She's pretty! I like the clip, and the black lipstick thingy...or, black lips. whichever it is. XP

I nixed the black lips, but now I'm considering putting them back in...>< Egads, my characters are all fleshed out for the story, but I still can't get what I want for the physical. The sweatshirt, I'm keeping, but it now says: Black Widow's Thread. Not sure on the pants design, but I'm going to put safety pins at the hem of her pants for certain. I'm definitely keeping this hair design and the clip design, though. ^_^ Still debating whether to make the single streak black or make the rest of her hair black and that one a different color.
