Description
At cold winter nights we all need something to warm our hearts and keep us safe from dangers outside. It was very difficult do make good picture out of this dagger because the blade reflects light like a mirror. A reward from hours of polishing. Blade is 20 cm long, about 5.5 mm thick and 5.4 cm wide. Its really razorsharp and pointy.
Handle is made from birch root (i am not 100% sure on this one) and is coloured with epoxy resin. Wood contained some flaves but it was hard to find a beautiful piece of wood of that size. Artist side in me need to say that it gives the piece its uniqueness and character
On the back of the handle theres silver dragon. I hope i can put it up soon. Screwup version can be seen on my site.

how do you make these decorations? do you make seperat parts and heatweldthem together? Or do you drill and chisel it out of a single piece?

Its drilled and engraved from a single piece. Any kind of welding would probably danger the structural integrity of the blade.

Magnificent. The color and grain of the metal. A nice smoothness, but still with a bit of grain, couples great with the grainy look of the dragon, makes it stand out. Match that with the wood to make it all POP! Quite a fine job. It inspires me even.

Dirks are Irish daggers. The handles are like that. And the blades are longer than daggers
