I love the way everything is so tangible in the foreground but quickly becomes ephemeral and supernatural where he is going. Beautiful shot, I love the colors.

Not sure what it is about this piece that makes me like it. I really enjoy the brick street. It's strange because the weather looks cold, but the picture itself seems so warm. It feels like the person in the pic is running away to find a new life - and they will. They'll end up happy. You know, one of those fantastic screenshots where there's no dialogue, but just because of the way the cinematographer planned it all out, the layout itself tells the story, and makes you feel all giddy about the outcome. That's what this does to me. Yup

I used a picture for "Hope"?? You mean a reference pic or something? Nah, I drew it from my imagination(with watercolours). After I took a photo of the pic with a digital camera and added the words and the snow with photoshop. ^_^

ps. vancouver is definitely not a boring place i must say. i always go there and i just love it there. the only thing is that when i go there, i usually end up doing something else other than taking pictures..... In USA legal drinking age is 21 and there it's 19.... make sence..?
