I adore this beyond reason. The awkward poses of distaste/complete longing, the colors, THOSE DOGS love

Ultimate awesomeness!!!! Color are perfect! This may sound like a stupid question, but what is a thesis painting?

That's not stupid question at all. A thesis is a body of work that a person does during their last year in college to basically show case everything they've learned and show what direction they'd like to take their work in the future. This is one of the pieces I did for my thesis, so it's a thesis painting.

Do you choose your own topic? Like how you did all storybook/fairytale stories?

Yes, it can be anything related to your field. For example, one person in my class chose to paint tattoos on a mannequin, while another did abstract paintings related to Judaism

And are these to be graded by professors, or are they simply part of a end-of-the year show?

They are graded. At my school at least, you devote and entire semester to the project, and whether you graduate or not depends on how well your thesis turned out.

This is one of my favorite books, and I love this painting! The dogs are an excellent touch--they look so confused and sad that nobody's playing with them.

I do agree with what most people say, this book is a bit dry for my taste.
But what you did here is nothing but dry. You can just see the tension between the two. They're sitting so far away. XD

I can't believe it. I absolutely LOVE it. Elizabeth is by far my favorite Austen girl.
