Β It is the inclusion of the dogs that really makes this picture a Favourite; they're quite clearly wondering just what the heck their two-legged pals think they're playing at! (especially the pooch who seems to be giving Mr Darcy a Look, although it's mate giving Miss Elizabeth Bennet a 'No it's nothing personal miss, he's like this ALL THE TIME' is rather charming too).
Β I must admit that they represent the cherry on top of this ice-cream sundae of excellence in art!Β

Ah this is so lovely, I really like the realistic nature and yet cartoon-like expressions. The texture of the furniture is by far my favorite, so smooth and faint! Wonderful work!

A travesty...an attempt to make a parody out of a book that already is one. I read Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies and it was very poorly re-written...wish someone else would take a crack at that.

Actually, I am a HUGE fan of Jane Austen's book, and while "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" was not all that amazing (though still pretty funny I think), the companion books were pretty original and well written.

I'm really, really picky about writing. I haven't tried the companion books, though. If they're by a different author I might check them out.

No it's the same author, but much better written. Plus, they make for a pretty believable back story
PPZ was really done as a joke, nothing more. But as it happens, I couldn't get my hands on it at the time, so I read the prequel "Dawn of the Dreadfuls" first. I loved it even though I usually hate zombie stories lol. And he was surprisingly respectful of the characters.
Would it help if I listed some of my favorite authors?
Jane Austen
Orson Scott Card
J.R.R. Tolkien
C.S. Lewis
Isaac Asimov

Lovely drawing!!! And the details of the dogs, the loveseat, the landscape trough the window are wonderful!! Great work!
PS. Am I a pervert if I find VERY suspicious the way Mr Darcy's hat is resting on his lap?
