Description
I started this several months back and it just got put on the backburner. When I got back to it, I decided to spend some time fixing up the center illustration. If you want to play with them and draw pictures of them or what not, I don't care. Just be sure to follow the rules ! I can't believe I even need to say this next sentence, but since I've had issues with people doing this several times in the past, here goes... DO NOT crop the characters out of the above species sheet, post said crop online and claim that it is YOUR character! That is considered THEFT! Draw your own!
This picture is meant to focus on my notes about the species and putting a definite design down on paper rather then writing a masterpiece. I usually catch most typos, but some slip by me. If you see one and it bugs you, please send a note rather then publicly announcing it. Thank you!
(For some reason, Photoshop doesn't like me typing double letters lately, so there probably are some.)

DO NOT copy, alter, repost, etc without the consent of the artist! Character/Image are NOT public domain!
Please think before you type...
and please read before asking questions. I will no longer be answering questions that can either be answered by simply reading the image's description or by spending 5 seconds to Google the answer.

Uhm, the crests and the fact that they have long tails, maybe. Other then that, I don't see it.
Alconians don't have natural biomech armor... among other features.

I look at all these species that look mostly human, and I always ask myself, why do they look mostly human? Why do some species in various Sci-Fi look like humans but with additional features, like tails, claws, scale/fur markings? Do those species have a common connection with each other, and humanity? Were they all engineered, and as such, were we?
It reminds me of that one episode of Star Trek TNG where they learned that Humans, Vulcans/Romulans, Cardassians, and Klingons all had a common ancestry from an ancient, long gone race. So again, when I see species that have mostly human features in Sci-Fi, I always ask myself if that means they are related to humans in some way. And actual traceable link that could make us call them family.
