Yup, the old V.R. Trooper figurines from back in the day! Gave then just a little bit of touch up.If you enjoyed Power Rangers back in the day, then the V.R. Troopers weren't far off your radar.
Use to catch the show all the time during the first season. Nice to relive the series on Netflix. It's done Aged horribly though. Lol

Yea I actually started to watch 'Spielban' not long ago as well as 'Metalder' just to see what the 'troopers' were originally in Japan.
I do the same with Super Sentai/Power Rangers too.
I can definitely say Saban and them edited out ALOT of cool and badass scences and fights! and some of the stories are better.

I have never seen some of the original VR Troopers in their Japanese versions, but the season 2 of Ryan's suit... Shaider... that was a classic for me. I used to watch that when I was a kid. Shaider and Bioman. Classic. And Machine Man. The funny thing is, it took people a long time to grasp that the "Ranger" genre was such a huge part of Japan before it even hit the states.
I just remember Shaider had a better component than VR troopers did. While it's definitely out dated and not great, I think it played way smoother than the American versions; after all, they didn't have to worry about 'making the footage work' with another show.

I honestly never cared for Ryan's second costume. I still liked the 'Metalder' one very much.

I loved that costume/armor because it reminds me of younger days. Though I do like JB's color scheme better; even if the two are ALMOST alike in terms of ability and skills, etc. Poor Kaitlin never got the best things to help her out.

Makes you wonder how different things would have been if they went that route. Not just for this show, but Power Rangers as well.

Well, JDF woulda been Cybertron or Adam Steele for Cybertron/VR Troopers show, which would have made VR Troopers/ Cybertron pretty HOT cuz Tommy was so popular after he left MMPR once the green ranger's powers were originally gone. (BUT had they not decided to bring Tommy back to mmpr...)
In an Alternate reality...
Power Rangers woulda got Brad Hawkins/Ryan steele as The new White Ranger and with Austin, Walter and Thuy leaving for pay disputes and all, and no tommy/JDF in it either...idk. I still think Power Ranger would be as popular as ever, but it basically would have been a mostly all new cast...like what they did later on, but much earlier(mmpr S2).
Like I said to wheatman, It would have been very interesting to how Power Rangers woulda turned out...

Yea no kidding. Its because of the nostalgia that I tolerate it. But alot of the martial arts moves were nice back then, because they actually hired REAL martial artists and gymnasts for rangers, something they dont do too much off today. Its wires all day for them.
