I've been thinking about getting these for Christmas and a display base to glue them together to make them look more like maquettes instead of toys and so that the pieces don't get lost. How did you remove the Green Ranger's Sentai dragon shield in the package and make the American dragon shield? I rather like the American footage of the rangers over the Sentai footage.
Also as a request, could you do a picture based on an episode shot of "Mighty Morphin Mutants" where the rangers are in the Command Center holding updated versions of their weapons to defeat Command Crayfish and the Mutant Rangers?

Well Good LUCK finding them. And when you do, they well be a PRETTY penny(like between $100 and $250 EACH) especially for Green Ranger, Pink Ranger, White Ranger.Β You can get the sentai versions of everyone except the yellow ranger( as of course it is a female body for the american release).
How I got the shield off is: I took off the green ranger's arms carefully, took off the head and neck(its eazy to do as it is on ball joints) Then I slid the shield up from the torso CAREFULLY and SLOWLY, then it pops one of the side straps of the shield off. (they are glued on and fit into grooves that are sculpted underneath the shield. Its actually very eazy to do.
I made THAT particular american shield by cutting out thin foam paper into the shape of the american shield, cut out the crescents on the top of the shield from another thinner foam or paper, glued it on the main foam shield, then took some grocery bag paper and wrapped it the shield to give it a "wrinkly" sort of look, then glued that down really good in certain places, painted a nice light gold over it, used some rubber bands as the side straps and glued them on, then BAM! American shield.
You gotta take the arms off and stuff to put it on, unless you design it with small velcro attachments(which im trying to do)
Ive been trying to improve on it though as im never satisfied And I think its too thick.
I want it as show accurate as possible. So I still make new shields when I have time, but its been a minute and other projects have come first.
Sure, I can do a Picture with the figs like that during that scene...wish I had a command center thought, Lol
Thats actually one of my favorite episodes.
Not sure when I'll have it done, but, just check back every so so...

Lol the command center isn't necessary. All I ask is just a picture of them like this, but instead standing straight, lined up, and casually holding their weapons like in the episode.
I learned the yellow ranger was a guy in the Sentai footage when I went back and watched the show which is one of the reasons I prefer the American footage over the Sentai footage.
I don't understand what's the big deal in difference between the American and Sentai versions of the figuarts coming from people who have purchased them, except for the yellow ranger of course.

There are no differences between the Sentai figuarts and the american figuarts except Red and Green zyuranger come with a few extra pieces(based on a episode with the "powerful rangers".)
The boxes look better for the american versions, IMO.
Other than that, its the exact same figure.
BOTH are gonna be expensive now though.

That's what I thought though I never watched the Sentai series. I knew it was just the box which isn't as important as the figure itself, which is more important.
