Born to a wealthy, loving family, Eddie Smith had everything he wanted in life, but having everything handed to him his whole life, Eddie became selfish and arrogant. As a young man, he lived the life of a carefree playboy, unconcerned with others.
Despite this, Eddie wasn't exactly a bad person, so when he heard cries for help coming from an underground bunker, he rushed in to help, discovering one of Drone's labs, where he was currently conducting human experimentation. Eddie attempted to free one of the unwilling participants from a vat of chemicals, but when the vat broke, Eddie was doused in them as the lab went up in flames.
He awoke to find his chiseled, good looks had been destroyed, leaving only a walking corpse in its place. His voice was like gravel, his eyes glowed golden, and his features had been dissolved. Horrified, Eddie knew he couldn't return home, and instead sought out Drone to force him to reverse the changes, but along the way, he learned the kindness that those with nothing had, the people he once saw as useless, seeing the error in his former ways, and vowing to live life as a changed man if he could ever be cured.
Corpse's powers include regeneration, such to the point that his limbs can stretch a few feet in each direction without him suffering any pain. He packs a venomous bite, poisonous breath, toxic needle claws, super strength, stamina, and durability.

Behind The Scenes: Corpse is probably the most consistent of all my characters. He was created about a year after I made Dark Avenger, when he was called Darkness, and Zhadow. His powers remained consistent after the reboot, as did his origin, with only minor updates, same as his appearance. For his name, I got the surname Smith from actor Will Smith, while his first name and the physical inspiration comes from Eddie the Head, the mascot for the metal band Iron Maiden. I used to spend a lot of time at my cousin's, and at the time, he was really into Iron Maiden, and had several shirts and posters depicting Eddie.
