Description
This is a contest entry I made on the fly. It's for 's new Fakemon contest, where we have to pick a theme and make a Fakemon for it. I decided to make a Fakemon for the TOMB theme. This Fakemon's final form is based on a horrifying type of wasp, colloquially known as the "tarantula hawk (wasp)". These wasps live in every known arid environment on Earth, and they get their name from what their prey is: tarantulas. Their stinger's venom is designed to completely paralyze a tarantula so that it can be dragged back to the wasp's nest and used as food for the larvae (this Fakemon's first form is very loosely based on the larval stage of this insect). What follows is quite horrifying, so I won't describe it here.
On top of that, their venom hits humans pretty hard too--hard enough to be classified as the most painful sting an insect could ever deliver to a human (the Sting Index lists the Bullet Ant's as the top most painful, but that's because the pain lasts 24 hours; the tarantula hawk's sting, which is listed as the second most painful, is actually THE most painful, but the pain lasts a few minutes tops). Despite this, the tarantula hawk is not fatal to humans unless you are allergic to the toxin they utilize (a very obscure allergy). They are not immediately aggressive to humans or anything significantly larger than them, but they will go all out on any other insect or arachnid.
The genus for all tarantula hawks is Pepsis.
As per this Pokémon's inspirational origins, the only way to make this Pokémon evolve is to get it up to at least level 27, and if at any point before that the Larvepsis received experience points from the Spinarak or Galvantula family, it will evolve; if not, go make it gain experience from one of those Pokémon and then level it up; it should evolve. The experience can be gained any way: Exp. Share, send-out/switch-out, or outright using it to kill the spider.
NOTE: In the base stats sections, I'm including highest possible stats and lowest possible stats for both levels 50 and 100 next to each given base. Each lowest possible stat assumes a hindering nature, 0 IVs, and 0 EVs. Likewise, each highest possible stat assumes a beneficial nature, 31 IVs, and 252 EVs. The format is like this:
[(Lv. 50: {lowest}-{highest})(Lv. 100: {lowest-highest})]
Larvepsis

Classification: Stinger Pokémon
Type: Bug/Poison
Ability: Tinted Lens - Attacks administered by this Pokémon which register as "not very effective" do normal damage.

Tarantula Hawk *shudders*
Awesome Fakemons, and I think that Wasp Sting should be real (Bug type, 100 pwr, it BURNS opponents!)

Looks cool and well thought out, but 135 Attack and 140 Speed is a little overtop with that Special Attack. 550 for a Pokemon that hasn't got a crippling weakness on a two-stage evolution is a little overboard.
Oh well, I can see you've put some thought and research into this, so I wish you good luck! 8D

Thanks!
You make a fair point, so I bumped its Speed down to 125 (making the total 535).
