I have to admit, its not bad at all for an Ariados edit. Though it is very obvious that it -is- an edit. Shading and all looks pretty decent, borders, good, etc...

Sort of inspires me to make some scratch pokemon sprites...

sorry, we dont accept edits/splices/fusions in . could get us in trouble with dA. good edit though. keep practicing til you can do em from scratch

yeah. but the sprite is an edit of an ariados sprite, which is why i have to take it down

Not quite. At least, it's not an ENTIRE scratch. I did some HEAVY editing to Ariados's sprite, a crapload of recoloring, and a considerable amount of scratching.

I reversed Ariados's HGSS sprite, then replaced the head with Ariados's DPPt sprite's. Then I recolored everything, including getting rid of the black stripes. Then I scratched the rest, including the back pattern, the spikes on each leg, the patterns on its face, and the stinger.

maybe you should try to scratch it...but dont get me wrong, it looks great...just looks a but too much like ariados...

I know what you mean, but I'm not that experienced in spriting yet. I can fuse, chao-ize, and heavily edit, but I'm currently learning how to scratch.

Maybe I'll try scratching Glinnow at some point.

itll be a good goal to work up to. once your scratching your own stuff, you'll find it much more fun ^_^
