I based the size and some concepts of the landmate but the mechanism or concept of how it works is evangelion-ish

so its remote controlled .The EVA had a piolt and was huge and had a capsule

Oh, no. its not really remote controlled. The pilot goes inside the suit, and
uses neurolink system to mentally sync in to the suit so the pilot can move and act like he was just wearing armor
