Description
OC: Commander Diether and Dr. Isaac.The Doctor squeezes Diether's arm. He mumbles incoherent medical terms.
"Stop squeezing my arm. I just got it back!"
"Huh? Oh, sure. Commander. I was just making a final check. Such a great work, if I say so myself." He releases the arm and goes to check some other equipment.
"Hmm" Diether checks his arm "It's fine. No scars."
"You will be able to return to combat soon."
"How soon is soon? Is it tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow? No, no! You have to rest!"
"No. I have a mission already planned. Ordered by the Everist Council."
The Doctor yells some obscure word. "Fine then! I will prepare some extra limbs...Freaking maniacs!"

Just felt like having a drawing with these two.
NOTE: The Doc forgot to tell Diether he has temperature, pressure and conductivity sensors equipped on his hands/arms.
And to note that in their world, there are no "medics". Just scientist with enough knowledge and guts to attempt medicine. Also, Diether is having some colorful dialysis in there. Ofc, the true horror is the bill. Good thing Diether is pretty successful as a soldier.

I am sure Facebook would love to implant such sensors in us too, lol. Poor Diether will be watched wherever he goes.
Also I am sure the way Doc looks at Diether's arm it looks like he has a bit of taste for the young man's blood, even if he does it just to be creepy, haha

Oh, it's actually the Doc' arms the ones with sensors. Though Diether is also being checked with nanomachines.
And that's true. Doesn't help the Doctor pretends to be a vampire on his free time.

Look at the Doctor, enjoying himself (well, until Diether starts talking, that is)
I can already see the financial balance check at the end of the year. In which Diether wins as the most expensive soldier... wasting money on "repairs".
But it's a small sacrifice if he's going lead the army to the victory, I guess.
And assures more health check visits at Isaac's lab.

Every expense goes out of his paycheck. Their government pays nothing for their Civilians or Soldiers.
If he wants to die a million times, whatever, as long as he can pay for his bills.
The Doctor doesn't like it. What with his important test subject going all suicidal.
