It is early 2200s, eleven years after the American Social War, the Artificial Intelligences arise and unite humanity in the renewed United Nations.
The American Social War saw the population of Earth collapse in a dramatic fashion. At the height of development, records indicate a total human population close to 60 billion. Eleven years after the war in the first census run by the AI, the number was close to 2 billion.
For so many generations, human governments were frozen in culture, locked into internecine wars. Those bitter struggles that culminated in the death of billions in a single catastrophic nuclear war. Now, under the guiding hand of the Artificial Intelligence Bureaucracy, the United Nations has ended conflict, starvation, disease and pushes humankind to look toward the stars and explore the vast unknown.
Personal Notes: I think a lot better shading can be done along the bottom to really bring out the picture but my attempts kept failing. I need to “understand” how to shade more properly.
The clouds look somewhat better than I normally draw them… which isn’t saying much but I think the use of an eraser makes it a lot easier than simply trying to draw them perfectly.
I still have to do a better job of creating few details that evoke a lot of imagination; the rubble and such look too simplistic and I think I just have to learn how to add a small line here and there to make it seem like a lot more than it really is.
