I think you're right about the'not manly enough', but in my opinion it's because he is too young and perfect. Not that I mind young and perfect, but I see the god of war as over-the-top masculine and dangerous, you know, muscular with a few scars and some body hair or something... just a thought.

Yes, it's his body and the pose I guess. Not martial enough, not manly enough... and the transparent scarf doesn't help either. I will change the material of that. It's only transparent because he was supposed to be naked but the material didn't want to flow over his private parts it went through so that he had his pride dangling around which look a bit ridiculous

Also für "Ares" sieht er mir ein bissel zu brav aus, ihm fehlt irgendwie der Biss. Könnte man evtl. durch eine andere Pose erreichen und den Gesichtsausdruck könnte man auch noch ein wenig verändern. Das rote Tuch ist zwar sehr schön, aber ich finde es passt nicht so zu ihm. Das verstärkt diesen braven soften Eindruck von ihm noch, finde ich.

Ja, die Pose und das Gesicht sind das Hauptproblem, denke ich. Und sein Körper, er ist zu schlank und nicht kräftig genug. Das Tuch wollte ich in irgendeiner Weise drin haben, weil es das verbindende Motiv der Götter Serie sein sollte, so wie bei Aphrodite. Die Motivik mit dem Nebel und dem Tuch plus dem Torbogen wollte ich erhalten.
Ich werde mal mit der Pose und dem Gesicht experimentieren und vielleicht das Material des Tuchs ändern. Eigentlich sollte er nackt sein wie Aphrodite aber das wirkte bei ihm etwas seltsam und das Tuch ist trotz VOrgabe mit gewissen Körperteilen (

So wie es jetzt aussieht, finde ich es viel besser! Eine sehr viel dynamischere Pose und nun passt auch das Tuch besser, weil es sich besser mitbewegt und auch die Farbe bzw. Textur ist besser. Die Idee mit der Narbe auf dem Bauch ist das I-Tüpfelchen. Ist sehr schön geworden!

Yes, the pose and the cloth around him are the mayor problem. The cloth is supposed to be the binding element in the series, every God was supposed to have it, as is the stone arch in the back. But I really messed up the pose. Gonna change that and the material of the cloth. He was actually supposed to be naked but whatever I tried the "dynamic calculation" of the cloth didn't collide with his pride, it went through! So one part of him was dangling outside which looked a bit vulgar
