The German text (the original since the musical Dance of the Vampires is German origin) is much better than that, talking about losing the chains of morality, searching for the dark grail and feeling the lust of losing oneself.
Anyway. As Jonathan learns at the Agency modern day vampires live of blood banks and only bite someone if it is a mutual agreement - which is considered more or less filthy and kinky. But there are those who don't want to abandon the old ways and who think that Vampires are made to rule over humans.
One of them is Count Ludwig, an old German vampire (the story is set in Germany). He is behind the schemes involving Jonathan and his university professor. When Jonathan is abducted and taken to him the Count isn't hostile, he tries to show Jonathan that his way is the right one. That lust and greed are part of humanity and vampires alike and that only the strong ones survive...

Really loved this picture when I stumbled across it. What I liked the best was that the male especially looked realistic and the vampire behind him who clearly wanted his soul -- creepy, yet delicious.

Beautiful. The shape of the head and the facial features are superbly done on this and Dies Irae Kyrie.
I notice in this one, his arms are spread, and in Dies Irae Kyrie his hands are over his groin. Maybe he's more seduced by the dark side? Or maybe he just likes older men?

*lol* The thing with the arms was a complete coincidence to be honest but your interpretation of it is pretty cool. He actually tends to be a bit of the shy guy around Markus, but he is more or less coquetting with this role, bringing Markus into the role of the strong guy, his prince charming. It's something he enjoys. When the count shows him how to bring out the lust and darkness in himself he is totally taken away by it.
