This is just a test render which then got out of control, I admit. Hence the recycled background. Someone has a new tattoo because I was never happy with the old one. He has more than that one but since he's dressed, you can't see it

No reason whatsoever aside from that I thought it looked extremely cool *laugh* He also has a paw print on his butt cheek and lines around his right lower leg. *shrug* I go with the available tatts because making your own is so cumbersome. I'm lazy in that regard, heh.

I had a sugar daddy for this one... wait, heβs younger than me, what does that make him? *lol* I got absolutely obsessed with that tattoo, so a benevolent soul helped me out. Does the overlay discolour your guyβs skin colour too or are you using the Maxx texture? I have a different one, obviously, and the torso is slightly darker after I applied the overlay.

I have to look into this. It's not visible that much for him since he's tattooed on his torso, legs and arse, so the discolouring is complete aside from his head and the seam there is under his chin and behind his ear so it's not noticeable. But since the vendor page says that you can use all those overlays (the reason I bought this set, just like you. I mean, wet, freckles, tattoo, tan lines, a speedo, the beard and hair... damn!) work on all other textures too. So I don't think this discolouring is meant to happen. I had the same issue back when I tried to give Velkan scars. It doesn't happen with Jonathan now that he has the scar overlay so I wonder if it is a specific problem with Velkan's texture.

I see what you mean. It's the extra channels it's added. The quickest way to deal with the problem and have the tattoos is to add the tattoo prefix to all your skin maps by hitting, counterintuitively, 'Tattoo Remove All'. It does that by adding the channels to all the maps then dialling down the tattoo channel to zero.Β
The problem's even worse on a black skin and the Add Tattoo to left buttock has a bug too. It applies a kind of 'wrap around the buttocks. I'd submit a bug report. It took them a couple of weeks to fix James' issues but they did sort it, and at least you've got a work around for now. I had to uninstall James as if fucked up every G8 figure.Β

Oh, like one of the hairs which I bought a while ago which came with messed up shader settings so it rendered as solid black. Stuff like this really shouldn't happen in a bloody expensive place like Daz3D.com

Oh, yeah I forgot about the speedo, beard and hair. It's a great buy. What texture are you using? If I have it I can try it out. I haven't tried the tattoo on other materials yet. I will though next. I love tinkering so I'm happy to see what I can do. I'll let you know what I get.Β

I looked at the materials earlier and kind of got the idea that they aren't quite like normal LIE's They're a mask, you'd only need a mask if they had the rest of the material attached I'd have thought. I think they must work by masking out one of the channels, I'm not sure, (i'm rendering so can't check what happens in the channels) I used Maxx's skin and didn't think about it at the time. I couldn't resist buying that character though because of the things it brought to the table, the wet skin, the tan lines, the freckles and skin colour, is great, just what I needed for Aaron who had dark hair and freckles. He's made by the same vendor as Dolb, so the eyes are amazing. I use Dolb eyes all the time and I think these ones are even better.Β
