"There were sentient trees. You should show this one to Syd." Jonathan took a sip from his hot chocolate.

"He refuses to watch Doctor Who with me. That's why it's so amazing that you agreed to this."

Jonathan was about to say something snarky but then he looked at his boyfriend's goofy face, beaming with joy, and he decided not to. This was Velkan's thing. Everything that was geeky and weird and so much like him and Jonathan decided to indulge the wolf.

"That was seven specials. I guess we're almost done?"

"You kidding me?" Velkan grinned, "This was the 2011 special. There are still seven more, well, the seventh isn't really a Christmas special, it was aired on New Year's Day so we can wait with that one until-"

"You are really pushing your luck given you're still wearing those offensive antlers."

"Antler envy?" The wolf winked.

"Oh please. I just think as you should consider the feelings of the people in the house who actually have horns. Yours truly included."

"You have the sexiest horns by far. You should get them out more often."

Jonathan groaned. "Fine, flattery it is then. Pop in the next one."

"Awesome! We'll be done when it's time to open the presents."

"And tired as hell..." Jonathan smirked. He reached for another Christmas cookie while he watched Velkan change the bluray. And Jonathan knew that he would never have the words to properly describe how much he loved this man.

Merry Christmas, everyone. I intended to write a Xmas story this year and make a huge picture with the entire cast but things took a different turn as most of you know by now and I'm glad that I got this done even though it's far from perfect. There are a million little things that I would change (especially the carpet which is way too busy) but I managed to get it done by Christmas Eve (which is when we actually get our presents in Germany) so it's out for Christmas Day. A sweet little scene between those two, intimate and romantic. Enjoy.

(as for the antler joke: Jon's other form is an ancient god with antlers so I couldn't resist doing this. It's based on the first episode of BoJack Horseman where he sees a pinata shaped like him and says in a dry tone: "I find this pinata offensive". This always cracks me up.)
