"Aren't you feeling cold?" Jonathan asked. Despite the small fire he was really glad he had his leather jacket. Dick had left his sweater on the makeshift bed inside their little hideout.
"A bit." the wolf replied, his gaze fixed on the dancing flames.
"Then why do you run around half naked? You don't need to impress me anymore, I'm familiar with your unclothed qualities by now."
Dick chuckled faintly. "Clothing makes me uncomfortable. It's restraining me. I'm a wolf, remember?"
"At the moment you are quite human."
"I'm not. I look human. Never feel like it."
"Can't imagine how that must be." Jonathan mused with a smile.
"It feels like you're part of a world you don't really belong to."
"Now that I can imagine quite well." Jonathan's eyes returned to the sizzling fire. His companion was the strangest person he had ever met. So alien. Then again maybe it was Dick's strangeness which had attracted him to the wolf in the first place. They both did not quite belong anywhere. Whatever it really was it felt good having Dick along. Being on the run from the authorities and the bad guys at the same time was much more fun when not alone after all.

Something which suddenly came to my mind when listening to "Colorblind" by Counting Crows. No idea why. Needed to get it out
