We do have an expression, in American English, for someone who gives a gift and then takes it back, but I won't repeat it here. Β It is a little bit like 'canyon ass.' Β lol! Β And the beard? Β You know how I feel about those!

He most certainly can - I've always been envious of guys that can grow a full beard, mine is so patchy lol so the only bit that grows properly is lip, soul patch and chin!

PS: I just uploaded a selfie on which you can see it quite well. The hairless part between chin and soul patch always stays that way and aside from the upper lip this is all the beard I can grow

Welcome to the club! My boyfriend can grow a full beard but I just can't. I can grow one along my sadly not very chiseled jawline, on my chin and a soul patch. Used to be able to do upper lip too but since my chemo it grows patchy there, leaving an almost clear spot right under my nose which looks weird. *lol*
