Description Deep below the streets of London, something is stirring in the darkness. In the lost underworld beneath Whitechurch Manor, among the forgotten ruins of a church, a threat from the past rises. And it is up to Jonathan and his friends to keep this evil at bay. But what is it that is waiting for them in the gloomy caverns? What secrets are buried underneath the stately home of Elisabeth Whitechurch. And is she really telling them everything?

~~~
Random idea, I know this is dark and gloomy but I think everything should visible. At least it was on both my screens and one of those is old as f***. Enjoy
PS: I know, nettles would not grow underground but the church was actually meant to be in the woods and everything changed halfway through postwork *laugh* Just pretend it's some underground supernatural nettles XD
Edit: I made it brighter, at least as much as I could without it ending up really bad looking on my screens. I hope this will resolve some of the issues
Interesting technik shadows, lights and dark color atm. I must attempt for something alike. Thanks for inspiration
Thank you for the compliment. I just checked out your work and it's really great, too. If you attempt something like my more atmospheric stuff keep in mind that I render almost everything in my pictures in separate layers (the characters, the background, often the background is made up of several layers, too) and then extensively work it over in Photoshop. None of my pictures came out of the rendering software like that. Judging from your work, I suspect you do the same, though. I love how you play with depth of field.
wow .. layering? I didn't that up to yet, becouse I had pood hardware. Now I purchased more powerful computer. Maybe It's time to begin play with rendering in layers and combinate results in photoshop. I'm curious what I'l get for pictures
His pose with the flashlight reminds me of the opening credits of The X-Files. I would not mind seeing a Jon/Fox Mulder crossover.
Hah, oh yes! The X-Files and the flashlights cutting through the dark. That was such a common image. I wonder if it inspired my flashlight pictures subliminally O.o
Well, maybe... it's easy to be unconsciously influenced by things we like. But either way it's an awesome render, very atmospheric and fun.
ah, this one is awesome! Jon looks very intense and hawt as always.. beautiful scene! posing and setup are great, and finally someone who picks nettles in an abandoned spot.. instead of some fantasy green. damn nettles grow everywhere
lol Super late reply but thanks for appreciating the nettles. Nettles are such a pest but they really worked well here. So glad that you like it. I had zero concept for this scene and it just continued to grow like this. Originally, he was supposed to be in a cave.
LOL I have issues with the synopsis. Someone asks about my books and I have such a hard time summing them up
Ulysses3DArt In reply to BornAngelAuthor [2018-03-30 21:29:02 +0000 UTC]
Well, at least you have them. I usually burst with ideas but then I have a hard time sitting down and writing them down. And when I do, my ideas change and I want to re-write. It's a vicious circle.
*nods* yep, I totally know the struggle of revisions and changes. I've been working on revising my first two books (which originally started out as one book but got far too lengthy and had to be split). While working with the characters more and writing book three some concepts and stuff finally clicked so I had to go back and revise lol. Just glad they're still in the critique partner stage and not out for public viewing yet/
Ulysses3DArt In reply to BornAngelAuthor [2018-04-04 13:34:51 +0000 UTC]
I'm such a sucker for feedback that I often tend to upload things and then I rewrite. I had two different stories for Jon and the boys online here and even though it pained me I put them into storage or else it would be even more confusing *lol*
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
BornAngelAuthor In reply to Ulysses3DArt [2018-04-04 15:15:13 +0000 UTC]
*nods* I totally understand that. I have a few pieces parts to stories on my first blog but I never really got feedback for them. I write a small piece (or sometimes a chapter) under the pictures that I make and sometimes I put out a journal with a chapter, but I rarely see feedback from it.
That’s why I asked for critique partners or readers who would read book one through and give an honest opinion. Seven people have it now (I like that number) and so far only one has finished it, but I’m still waiting on the red inked copy so I can make revisions.
Yeah, I have a few of those honest readers, too, though so far it's only two. I sometimes force my boyfriend to read my stuff but it's really not his cup of tea. Too flirty, too much urban fantasy. *laugh*
BornAngelAuthor In reply to Ulysses3DArt [2018-04-06 13:35:09 +0000 UTC]
*chuckles* I do that to my hubby. My books aren’t his cup of tea either. He’s not into the demons, angels, and other preters bit. Though he will sit and listen to me ramble on and on about it he’s good liked that
My boyfriend tries his best but he's got a lot on his mind to begin with. And he's super supportive when it comes to dealing with my depression and anxieties, so I give him a pass on my feedback-obsession
BornAngelAuthor In reply to Ulysses3DArt [2018-04-06 20:20:08 +0000 UTC]
Darf ich mitsuchen, Jon? ^^ Denn selbst wenn Du Kieselsteine suchen würdest, mit Dir zusammen würde ich es mit Freunden tun!   Wieder mal klasse gemacht! Ich frage mich immer wieder, wie jemand es fertig bringt, solch dunkle Bilder zu malen/zeichnen/kreieren und dennoch Einzelheiten zu zeigen, wie z.B. Jon's Lederhosen, seine Gürtelschnalle und einige Backsteine der Wand. Die Pflanze ist eine tolle Idee. Und, je nachdem wie spät es ist, kann da durchaus ein wenig mehr Licht hinunterkommen. Da ist offensichtlich eine Öffnung irgendwo links oben, und Pflanzen können erstaunlich zäh sein.
Ulysses3DArt In reply to Kytheira [2018-03-26 15:56:56 +0000 UTC]
Ja, die dunklen Bilder... ich mag atmosphärische Szenen aber ich glaube manchmal kommt mir mein Monitor in die Quere. Ich mache ein Bild und es sieht für mich super aus und dann kommt ein Kumpel und sagt "Dude, ich sehe wortwörtlich nur sein Gesicht, mehr nicht." XD
Ich habs im Ganzen jetzt mit einem Haufen Adjustment Layers in Photoshop etwas heller gemacht. Ich glaube so sollte es kompatibler mit mehr Bildschirmen sein XD
Heheh, danke, du hast die Lichtstrahlen von links oben bemerkt, ich habe mich gefragt ob die vielleicht etwas zu subtil sind. Ich hab sie nachträglich eingefügt nachdem alles nach unter Tage verlegt wurde.
Kytheira In reply to Ulysses3DArt [2018-03-26 17:51:35 +0000 UTC]
Ja, jetzt sieht's noch viel besser aus. Ich habe auch bei dem Bildchen mit den beiden Hexen gedacht, daß es vielleicht ein wenig zu dunkel ist, besonders angesichts des tollen Hintergrunds, sowie der Tatsache, daß die ältere eine Kerze in der Hand hält, aber ich dachte, Du wolltest es genau so. Jetzt sieht man hier auch das Wurzelwerk gut und das schöne Ornament, an dem sich Jon abstützt.  Aber das soll keine Kritik sein; mir gefallen Deine Bilder so oder so, und ich würde es nicht einmal halb so gut hinbekommen!
Ulysses3DArt In reply to Kytheira [2018-03-30 20:33:35 +0000 UTC]
Bei den Hexen war es Absicht. Es sollte wie bei der Szene in Dornröschen von Disney sein, wenn Maleficent aus der Dunkelheit auftaucht und ihm die Kerze entgegen hält
Keine Sorge, ich verstehe es schon. Kritik ist ja auch wichtig Leider ist mein Bildschirm wohl echt hell, denn ich hatte dieses Problem schon öfter. In letzter Zeit nutze ich als Probe aufs Exempel mein iPad. Wenn ich da zu wenig erkennen kann, muss das Bild wohl heller gemacht werden. XD
Weißt Du, ich wäre echt neugierig, wie Du meine beiden Jungs machen würdest. Darkmoon und Christopher in deinem Stil, das wäre echt der Hammer. Leider habe ich nicht das Geld für eine Commission, und points habe ich auch keine. Von daher freue ich mich über jedes neue Bild von Deinen beiden.
