Description Not much to say here. Super old Michael 4 coat converted to fit Genesis 8 and Jon had the honour of showing it off since former incarnations wore this coat. That's all.

I think I've said it before: Jon looks terrific in whatever he wears, or not! Fantastic mood in this image!

Danke

Yeah, the final seal of approval for Jonathan Bouchard, since Jonathan Harker used to wear that coat a lot ^^

This is beautiful work, not only in a great conversion of the coat, but the whole atmosphere of the piece. The shaft of light coming from behind and hitting Jon's back, just glancing off the orange leaves... masterful!

Thank you It was actually just a test render and still extremely grainy. Photoshop is your best friend sometimes.

Great scene Raffi, you don't need an excuse to make great images.

I wasn’t even planning to make this into a picture. Just a test render. It was still super grainy so I went at it with the blur tool in Photoshop.

I call them Lazarus renders.

Yep, coat converted well. Did you use auto fit, or the new M4 to Genesis 8 converter?

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Ulysses3DArt In reply to joekr9 [2019-02-23 23:00:46 +0000 UTC]

It’s the converter. Using autofit turns this into a mess. It’s bad enough already if you try autofitting a coat from G3 to G8 but this was a disaster without the converter.

OK. So I guess the converter is worth it. I was wondering. Thanks.

He answered. The converter.

It’s the M4 to G8 converter. Works relatively well. The coat doesn’t accept the add-on textures though. It turns into a mess. I also converted Cyberpunk M4 which actually accepts the additional texture sets. I was very keen on converting the clothes by Dz from Renderosity, the ones he didn’t update to Genesis 1, but the converter doesn’t even recognize those to begin with.

IndusGuys In reply to Ulysses3DArt [2019-02-23 23:02:36 +0000 UTC]

Thanks Raffi, I don't have much M4 stuff but it's often really cheap so I couldn't help wondering if it would be worth but, when there's so many bad clothes at Daz you can't help thinking the older ones are going to be worse.

Many aren’t that good or just outdated versions of what Genesis has too. I have this huge back catalogue which I used to utilize for years so I thought why not (also it was a gift xD). But a lot of this stuff shows its age, alas.

It looks great on him in every version I'm sure (since it's great here), I also really love the lighting of this piece.
