Description
I noticed the last design was more comic bookish then real as i was just going through comic references.as most people liked the 3rd design I went with that today and in a day finished it.
pointed out a few things and it got me wondering what if superman really wore something like this.
I took elements i liked and removed silly stuff.
Also made the suit a bit darker just to keep it more of the man of steal design.
ALso tried painting Henry Cavills face, wasn't easy.
bits of photobashing and mostly painted over.

It's a combination of the best elements of your Superman costume redesigns. I did liked the third design over the rest but each of them has something in their design that's cool and you combined all those best elements into this design and yes, this could very well be your definitive Superman costume redesign. DC Comics and Warner Brothers, eat your heart out with this cool Superman costume redesign!
I did say that i could see Henry wear Design 03 for a Man Of Steel sequel or Justice League 2 or maybe even a DC Elseworlds movie like maybe Superman Red Son or Kingdom Come. The costume designs have a very dark color scheme, like a darker shade of red and blue and in Kingdom Come's case, Alex Ross paid tribute to the classic Max Fleisher Superman with the black field instead of the yellow inside his S shield logo with the red S. The S is reduced to it's aesthetic simplicity, Alex Ross no doubt was inspired and took visual cues from Electric Blue and Electric Red Superman from The Zero Hour DC event in the late 90's wherein Hal Jordan who is the Green Lantern became Parallax and absorbed the sun's power to reshape the entire DC universe. Without the sun to power his Kryptonian body, he became a being of pure energy.

As you can see, DC did come up with various costume redesigns with the character, just not as many as Batman and Spider-Man.

Thanks. I was wondering if his classic color scheme of red, yellow and blue could work with this particular design. I do like the adjustments that you made with this one and having Henry "wearing" this design with that smile on his face instead of the joyless and brooding look of MOS is a nice touch and gives it an air of hope and positivity in the vein of classic Superman. I think an optimistic and inspiring Superman could work in the DCEU and this pic has me convinced.
