Description Edit: The profile is far too flat and the body is awkwardly blocky. Must revise some day.

What, you thought my gallery was only pokemon? You are sorely mistaken, sir! SORELY!

I redesigned Al since he is the older of the brothers and needed some definition. Plus, it's harder to make a blonde monkey than a black one, so I was set there.

Melves (need name) are not a naturally evolved species, they didn't just happen to converge and become similar to humans. Instead, the little brother of humanity's god picked a species of lemur-like monkeys, and due to the pressure from his big brother, had to make them similar to humans when he uplifted them.

I've decided on retrospect that the elements are semi-random in birth, with the nature having some effects in the 'choice'. As such:
Nature - Element
Cheerful, upbeat - fire, light
Moody, seclusive - water
Calm, obedient - earth
Gentle, strongwilled (pigheaded) - darkness
Shy, absentminded - air

The element is limited to being able to infuse themselves with the energy of their element, and also spewing it from the mouth and nose. As such, melves are the only species not to be naturally aligned or opposed to a single element.

Melves also possess the ability to become the shape of any animal (not plant, not bacteria etc) the size of or larger than a common mouse they have seen. Their ears and eyes are always that of a melf.
They do not automatically know how to move, or behave like the animal they copy, and they can't stay in the form for long. It takes months to properly learn the quirks of each form, and to be able to hold it comfortably. When nervous, a melf can't properly change shape, but may briefly flash into a different form and back to scare a potential enemy.
Their wounds and missing appendages are preserved, and in some cases other, related appendages might suffer damage when appropriate. (such as Al's tail missing will lead to his wyvern having ripped wings near the missing tail, as if crudely amputated.)

Yes, YOUTHFUL ELVISHNESS. The marvel of natural world! Watch as they squeak and eat berries and get kicked around by humans!

Tis the fate of most fantasy worlds to contain homo sapiens.
Especially if one likes them. :V!

Yeah. And I kinda felt the sad fate of elves in the game : "Dragon age II" similar to your elves(being kicked around sort)

Yeah, I noticed the similarity too... Sadly, subverting the "elves are better and more wonderful than everyone else" often results in a similar situation.
At least my elves are physiologically and socially different?

Yeah. It's complicated.

I love both of these brothers! I really like how opposite in colors they are, and in so, how opposite their personalities are to their colors. I really like how Al's eyes stand out against his lighter coat.

Thank you~ They are some of my oldest characters, so Im glad they could be updated from the STORMY CHILDHOOD of bad characterisation into recent days of better ones..?

The idea behind the eyes was that they evolved for the same reason as white scleras evolved for humans, to make following the gaze of your peers easier. I suppose they are also fairly effective at scaring people, since they have a pretty intensive stare~
