Something a little different, feeling better.I keep feeling that there has to be a better way to add color to the gray-scale sketch but tinting it like this is quick for now

Wow, the way you paint the leafs, so the trick is to paint with saturated colors.

Yeah. I'm no expert, but I do know that basically on an overlay layer, the closer you get to %50 gray, the less of the stroke you can see.
Exactly %50 gray is completely invisible.

where can I find a greyscale to color tutorial. Its not a method I implement but I'm curious to see how its used. Great image btw!

I can't recall offhand, I was looking for one just yesterday to see if I can find a better way.
What I do is pretty simple though. I just add an overlay layer over my greyscale and paint fairly saturated colors on it with a big airbrush. Sometimes I add a soft light layer over that for lighting effects, like the fiery glow behind the wheel demon.
