The Velrochys is an incredibly fast creature, certainly the fastest in its home environment and also one of the most dangerous. A pack can often cut one Fellin from a herd and run it down in seconds, wearing it out by tearing long gashes in its flanks with their sharp beaks as they pass.

If you are lucky enough to catch sight of them before or within a few seconds of them seeing you, I highly recommend that you spend what little time you have getting off the ground, for the Velrochys cannot climb, and it has a relatively short attention span, unless they are very hungry...

The color painting went faster than I expected. Around 3 hours. I had already kind of agreed with Ankaraven's assessment of the far front paw, and after watching some video of emu's walking and reworking it, I think it looks more natural.
