Description
Another piece that was created for my Junior Thesis Art Exhibition. Once again, this image doesn't do the piece any justice! So many details are missing like the coloring in the choral and shading on her skin and hair. And this piece has been sold before I could take a better image. This makes me sad!Related content

This is very nice. I just imagine those colours and shading you said aren't visible on the image. Still a very nice work.

I can't believe how beautiful and unique this is! How do you layer the paper to get shadows to appear without the paper falling over or leaning backwards?

UmbranRain In reply to starfiregal92 [2013-09-13 03:18:50 +0000 UTC]
Why many thanks to you! I use foam tape to stick the paper to the background and layering the tape lets me achieve greater heights. I am sure there is a more practical way to achieve this but I have yet to figure that out!

That's actually a good idea, I can't think of any other way to do it lol. I've really never seen anything like this before, I just love it! How much did it sell for?

UmbranRain In reply to starfiregal92 [2013-09-14 04:51:52 +0000 UTC]
I sold it for $120 which was cheap for how much time and effort was put into it! lol

When I saw this art you made, I decided to try to make one myself. I just love the Little Mermaid and thought you're art was so cool and like nothing I've seen before so I really wanted to try. I'm pretty much finished but my boyfriend had to stain the box it's in. I'd love for you to take a look at it when I post it

Haha yeah I am and it got sold to a very notable figure! I am currently making a friend a Cinderella illustration and then I am going to take on the challenge to create every Disney princess out of paper. I am going to make another Little Mermaid because I have a great idea for it! So look for it in the future!
